If you grew up in the ’90s, you know the food court wasn’t just a place to eat—it was the destination. Hanging out at the mall all day, hopping between Claire’s, Hot Topic, and the arcade, and capping it off with that frothy, citrusy magic known as an Orange Julius? That was peak teen freedom.
This recipe is my homemade ode to that food court legend, but with a nostalgic family twist. It comes straight from my Nana, who used to make it for me during summer visits. I can still picture those tall, skinny cups she served it in, and how excited I was every time she pulled out the blender. It’s cold, creamy, sweet, and has that same dreamy orange-vanilla flavor that made the original so iconic.
This isn’t just a drink, it’s a slice of childhood. A little mall magic and a lot of heart, blended with love and frozen orange juice.
