Our Next Adventure: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England!

We’ve officially wrapped up our journey through Mexico, and I just wanted to take a second to say thank you to everyone who followed along. It was such a fun year exploring thousands of years of history through food, and I learned so much along the way.

But now…

It’s time for our next adventure.

England!

I know what you’re thinking because every single person I’ve told has made the exact same face:

”…ew… but why?”

Hear me out!

England gets such a bad reputation for its food, but I honestly think we’re selling it short.

Think about it! Meat pies (hopefully with no people inside), scones (and the absolutely ridiculous jam-or-cream-first debate that people are still passionately arguing over), afternoon tea, finger sandwiches, sticky toffee pudding…

And bread.

So. Much. Bread.

But honestly, I might be even more excited about the history than the food. I’ve had a slight obsession with English royalty for years, and an embarrassing amount of my brain is dedicated to remembering royal family trees. Getting to explore England from its earliest settlers all the way to today is basically my dream project.

Over the next year, we’ll travel through thousands of years of English history one meal at a time. We’ll cook recipes inspired by each era, learn what everyday life looked like, and watch England change through the people, traditions, and events that shaped it.

So whether you’re here for the recipes, the history, or just to see if English food really deserves its reputation, I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

I have a feeling England is going to surprise us.
